Havelock One Interiors Achieves ISO 27001 Accreditation – A Testament to Data Security Excellence
Havelock One’s quality assurance is now backed by an ISO certification. We are incredibly delighted to announce that as of 18 July 2023, Havelock One Interiors is officially an ISO 27001-certified company!

ISO 27001 is the world’s best-known international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). Havelock One’s ISO 27001 scope applies to the infrastructure and business applications that support seamless company-wide operations starting from the manufacturing facility in Askar through to the fit out operations in all regions.
Our ISO Journey
Our journey began with a realisation of the importance of information security. We knew we had to go beyond the ordinary and embrace a holistic approach. Over the last two years, we have diligently worked on our Information Security Management System (ISMS) through a series of internal security audits. The fast-changing circumstances during the spike of COVID-19 made it possible for Havelock One to go fully digital within a short span of time. This further led to the change in the business model of our Information Technology (IT) department’s operations – adding information security policies for handling information securely that complies with any legal regulations and ethical obligations—and further broadening the use of our communication and networking systems.
Learning and Adapting
Our IT department has continuously been at the forefront, spreading various awareness campaigns against IT threats and malware. Furthermore, we started engaging with reputed external auditors and showcased our business applications, software developments, networking, infrastructure, and security measures. The audit journey was an enlightening experience for us, as it investigated deep into almost every security aspect of our infrastructure. We received extensive knowledge and feedback from the nominated auditor, enabling us to strengthen our security practices further.
Thorough Assessments
Armed with newfound knowledge, we meticulously mapped our processes, policies, and controls to align with ISO 27001 standards. Our incredible team, with diverse skills and relentless determination, came together to make this dream a reality. We conducted exhaustive risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and crafting strategies to mitigate potential threats to our data. Every department worked in harmony, implementing security measures that surpassed expectations, from access controls and encryption to incident response planning. And this level of commitment to improving the security of the information we hold helped us successfully complete the audits. This certification results from a tremendous amount of effort and involvement from every member of our IT department, for which we are deeply grateful.

The entire certification process guided us to the appropriate requirements for an ISMS in our company — a systematic approach to managing sensitive client data and project designs, so that it remains secure. It includes people, processes and IT systems by applying a risk management process.
