The Starbucks store in KAFD, Riyadh, is one of the first F&B stores in the GCC to have been awarded the prestigious LEED Platinum certification, and one of only six Starbucks stores globally.
We worked with our client to deliver the millworks manufacturing and interior joinery, using eco-friendly materials such as FSC certified wood and low VOC paints, adhesives and materials. The challenge for us was delivering the same excellent quality finish within the budget of a standard store, while ensuring every element would meet the LEED standard for accreditation.
As part of our scope we manufactured the coffee bar, banquettes, planters, artworks, merchandise units, condiment unit and wall claddings in our 520,000 sq. ft. factory in Bahrain and delivered to site for installation.
It is a great achievement for us to have been involved in delivering an award-winning store, which is recognised by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) as one of the greenest café’s in the GCC.
