Building a workplace where people thrive

At Havelock One, looking after our people has always been part of how we work. It shows up in the decisions we make and the support people have access to every day.

Over time, we've introduced programmes, tools, and support that help people stay healthy, manage the pressures of work, stay connected with their teams, and keep growing in their careers. The goal has always been simple: create a workplace where people genuinely feel supported, every day.

A long term commitment to employee wellbeing

Our journey towards becoming an employee‑wellness‑first organisation began as early as 2015, starting with sports initiatives in Bahrain. Since then, our approach has evolved into a structured and holistic wellbeing framework spanning health awareness, prevention, mental wellness, and community building.

Over the years, we have rolled out a wide range of initiatives, including health awareness sessions, holistic health check‑ups, sports and fitness programs, yoga and mindfulness activities, women‑focused webinars, preventive safety toolbox talks, and Gatekeeper Workshops designed to foster mental health awareness and early intervention. Each program has been carefully designed to nurture an employee-first culture. Most recently, we launched a wellness tracker - Havelock One Care within our Employee Engagement app to foster a culture where we support, motivate, and inspire one another towards healthier lifestyles.

Creating a workplace people choose to grow with

Havelock One was also named Highly Commended in the Best Workplace of the Year 2025 category at the Design Middle East Awards.

The recognition reflects the way our teams work every day: supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and creating an environment where people can build long-term careers.

A few things continue to make that possible:

  • A people-first culture built on trust and support
  • Leadership backed by experienced, certified professionals
  • Strong safety systems across complex live project environments
  • HR practices that support fairness, growth, and wellbeing

Together, these shape a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and motivated to do their best work.
