As a result of the recent news and renewed activity in the market, we are seeking to hire a well-qualified and experienced MEP Engineer in Doha to help with taking our business forward. Role Summary

MEP Engineer is a professional designation responsible for planning and design in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing (MEP) practice, including developing policies standards, inspection procedure and evaluation tools for MEP concerns along with preparing, reviewing drawing, specification, and cost estimates for the mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. 

Role Description

Overall management of the client servicing and operations of the company involving following functions:

• The selected candidate will be heavily involved in the estimation, design and engineering for F&B Outlets, Retail Stores, office interiors, and other commercial interior projects
• Review and negotiation of subcontractor’s tenders
• He will coordinate the MEP works through the schematic design development, contract document and execution phases of a project
• Supervise the MEP subcontractors on site
• Reviewing tenders for MEP pricing and assisting the tender department in pricing MEP works
• Negotiating best MEP prices from subcontractors
• Site supervision for MEP subcontractors on company’s projects
• Managing subcontractors’ variations and final account

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years related working experience in a construction / engineering environment with preferable knowledge of MEP and associated works within the interior fit out project market
• Sound technical knowledge of MEP works (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Firefighting etc.)
• Past experience of working on retail & F&B Projects
• Good knowledge of material & subcontracting prices for project estimation purposes
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
